Fish With Seasoned Crumb Coating Recipe Chacha / All my dishes

This is one of my favorite ways to prepare fish.

Ingredients
  • 4 to 6 fish fillets
  • Note: I prefer to use a meatier fish like haddock, halibut or cod but you can use any type of fish you like with this recipe.
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. onion powder
  • 3/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs or I have also used crushed Cornflakes
  • 4-6 Tbsp. butter, melted
  • 1 tsp. parsley(dried)
  • Note: You can also use other herbs such as thyme or basil.
  • fresh parsley for garnish

Directions
  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Lightly grease/spray a large shallow baking dish.
  3. Place fish in melted butter and coat both sides.
  4. Remove and dredge the fillets in bread crumbs and seasoning mixture.
  5. Arrange fish fillets on the prepared baking dish.
  6. Bake the fish fillets for 18 to 20 minutes, or until fish is cooked through. Broil for 2 to 3 minutes until the topping is lightly browned.
  7. Fish will flake easily with a fork when done.
  8. Carefully remove the fillets to plates.
  9. Serve with a salad and your choice of vegetable.
  10. I like to serve the fish with new potatoes when in season.
