Sausage and Spinach Calzone

Calzones can be served as an appetizer, brunch item or main course when paired with soup or salad. This calzone gets a little zip from the hot sausage!
Ingredients
- 2 - 10 oz pkg frozen spinach, thawed shopping list
- 4 hot italian sausage shopping list
- 1 Tbsp butter shopping list
- 1 clove garlic, crushed shopping list
- salt and pepper, to taste shopping list
- 8 oz mozzarella cheese, shredded shopping list
- 1 lb pizza dough shopping list
How to make it
- Remove sausage from casing and fry meat.
- Defrost spinach and wring out all the liquid.
- Saute spinach in butter and garlic.
- Roll out pizza dough.
- Place sausage, spinach and cheese on dough.
- Close dough around filling.
- Bake in 375 degree oven for 30 minutes and then brush top of calzone with egg white. Finish baking for another 15 minutes.
