- 1 Pound Small white onions shopping list
- 1/4 Cup white wine vinegar shopping list
- 1/4 Cup white wine shopping list
- 1/2 Cup Chunky tomato sauce shopping list
- 3 Tablespoons brown sugar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon cloves,ground shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger,ground shopping list
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil shopping list
- Dash of hot pepper sauce shopping list
How to make it
- Combine all the ingredients for sauce.
- Bring to boil,and boil for 10 minutes(or)until just thickened.
- Trim,peel onions.
- Parboil for 6 minutes in salted water,drain.
- Place drained onions in saucepan,pour the sauce over.
- Bring to boil,reduce heat,simmer for about 15 minutes,or until onion are soft(but)not mushy.
- Allow to cool completely,and serve as a cocktail condiment,or serve as a side dish for any meat or poultry.
