How to make it

  • In a large saucepan over high heat compine tomato puree, diced tomatoes, basil and water. Boil mixture 30 minutes.
  • Stir cornstarch into a little bit of the tomato mixture to dissolve. Pour cornstarch mixture into saucepan.
  • Stir in cream and salt and pepper.
  • Stir in sugar and cheese

    I already make a soup like this. I use individual ovenproof soup bowls, Cover with the Garlic toast and sprinkle with cheese...great post!
