Ingredients
  • 4 small apples, washed
  • 4 pork chops, 1/2 inch thick, trim visible fat
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Vegetable Spray
  • ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
  • Cutting board
  • Sharp knife
  • Medium fry pan
  • Measuring spoons
  • Medium bowl
  • Serving plate

Directions
  1. Wash hands ans surfaces.
  2. Core apples and cut into quarters.
  3. Then cut each quarter into 3 to 4 slices.
  4. Spray skillet with vegetable spray and heat over medium heat.
  5. Place pork chops in skillet and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  6. Brown each side for 3 to 5 minutes.
  7. Use meat thermometer to make sure the pork chop reaches at least 160 degrees F.
  8. Push pork chops to the center of teh skillet and add apple slices around chops.
  9. Drizzle oil over the apples and cook for 5 minutes, turning apples to brown both sides.
  10. Put chops on a plate and top with cooked apples.
  11. Refrigerate leftovers right away.

  13. Make into a meal: Serve with brown rice, a mixed green salad with lowfat dressing and a glass of low-fat milk.
