Ingredients

How to make it

  • Put the water into the crock.
  • Sprinkle all of the fresh herb over it.
  • Put the cheese cloth over the top.
  • Using the rubber band as a tie to hold the cloth down to keep anything from getting into the water.
  • You may use thin rope, twine, whatever to tie off, just remember it must not fall or slip off during drain off.
  • Put out on the full moon, where the light of the moon, brews and blessed it. So bring this in doors when the sun rises, Grandma's hands were to far gone when she taught me to do this, so she left it out . I place it in a bay window and cover it with a dark cloth during day hours.
  • Let this set out for an entire moon cycle.
  • At the end of the moon cycle, drain off the water into one large or severl small jars.
  • Cap.
  • Save in a cool dark closet for later use.
  • Rue water is what most people call Holy Water.
  • It is used to chase of Demons and such in all most all religions.
  • It is also used to bless homes and to consecrate a plot of land for a holy building or grave yard.
  • This water must be blessed before use of that nature.

Awesome thank you! All the rye water for sale doesn’t actually smell like rue. How long did a batch generally last you? Will it go bad?
