Pecan Brown Butter Cookies

- 1-1/2 sticks unsalted butter shopping list
- 1/2 c packed lt. brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2 c sugar shopping list
- 1 c flour1/2 tsp baking soda shopping list
- 3/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 2 large eggs shopping list
- 2 c pecans (7oz.) toasted,cooled and chopped shopping list
- 1 c flour shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees with racks in upper and lower thirds.
- Heat butter in a 10" heavy skillet over medium heat til milk solids on bottom are a dark chocolate brown.
- Transfer to a shallow bowl and chill in freezer until just congealed,about 15 mins.
- Blend brown butter with sugars,flour,baking soda,salt and eggs in a food processor till smooth. Transfer to a bowl and stir in pecans.
- Spoon ablespoons of batter onto parchment-lined baking sheets,arranging about 1" apart.
- Bake,switching positions of sheets halfway through,till browned,15 to 18 mins. Transfer cookies to a rack to cool (cookies will crisp as they cool.
