Buffet Roast

- 1 3 lb boneless chuck or similar beef roast shopping list
- 27 oz can sauerkraut drained shopping list
- 1 lb brown sugar shopping list
- 28 oz can whole tomatoes undrained shopping list
- 1 large onion chopped shopping list
- 1 apple, peeled cored and sliced shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Place meat in a Dutch oven.
- Top with the sauerkraut, tomatoes, sugar, apple, onion and salt and pepper.
- Cover and simmer several hours until meat is very fork tender.
- Correct seasonings if need be.
- Probably may be also made in a slow cooker
