Peach Bread Pudding with Caramel Sauce

- 2 cups fresh peaches-peeled, and halved shopping list
- 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk shopping list
- 4 eggs, lightly beaten shopping list
- 1 1/4 cups hot water shopping list
- 1/4 cup butter, melted shopping list
- 2 tablespoons peach liquor shopping list
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract shopping list
- 5 cups French bread, torn into small pieces shopping list
- caramel sauce shopping list
- 1/2 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup butter shopping list
- 2 tablespoons light corn syrup shopping list
- 2 tablespoons rum (or whiskey) shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees
- Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish
- Chop the peaches and lightly mash them in a mixing bowl
- Combine the sweetened condensed milk, eggs and peach liquor; add them to the peaches and mix well
- Stir in the hot water, melted butter, cinnamon and vanilla
- Stir the bread into the peach and custard mixture until the bread is completely moistened
- Turn into the prepared baking dish and bake for about 1 hour and 10 minutes
- To make caramel sauce, combine the ingredients for the sauce in a saucepan
- Bring to a boil over medium heat and simmer for 3-4 minutes or until just slightly thickened
- Let cool slightly
- Remove the pudding from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes before serving
- Serve warm with the caramel sauce
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator
