hot and spicy Pecan Cheese Logs

- 2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, at room temperature shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese shopping list
- 2 cans (4 ounces each) diced green chiles, drained shopping list
- 1/4 cup dried onion flakes, softened in 1/4 cup water shopping list
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper shopping list
- 2 cups chopped pecans shopping list
- crackers, sliced fruit and vegetables for serving shopping list
How to make it
- 1. In a large bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, chiles, softened onion flakes, garlic powder and cayenne pepper. Form into two 8-inch logs, wrap and refrigerate for about 15 minutes.
- 2. Place nuts on waxed paper and roll each log in the nuts. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Serve with crackers and sliced fruit and veggies.
