How to make it

  • Chill metal mixing bowl and beaters in the freezer for a couple of hours before making recipe. (This is to help form fluffier peaks when whipping the heavy cream)
  • In the top of a double boiler over simmering water, heat the marshmallow creme, walnuts, cherries, and milk, stirring until smooth.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Transfer to a large bowl and cool completely.
  • In the chilled bowl, using an electric mixer, whip the cream until soft peaks form.
  • Fold the grated chocolate and whipped cream into the marshmallow mixture.
  • Pour into the crust and spread evenly.
  • Chill for at least 2 hours before serving. Garnish with chocolate curls (optional).
