Described as "real Indian Fish dish". Got this yummy recipe from my Siser in law and has been a favourite with my family ever since

Ingredients
  • 1-11/2 lb white fish cut into cubes-any firm fish
  • 1oz butter plus a littleoil- (I prefer NOT to use olive oil for this recipe so as not to overpower the delicate flavour of the fish)
  • 1 large onion
  • approx 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 can chopped tomatoes
  • 1tsp chilli---paste or flakes(less if you want to "temper" the heat)
  • juice of 1 lime---I add a little of the zest as well
  • 1 tsp Jalapeno relish-you can use pickle if relish is not available
  • some chopped corianda-again ,according to taste
  • 1 tsp tumeric
  • 1 can coconut cream

Directions
  1. fry oil and butter together in large fry pan.
  2. ADD
  3. cumin seeds and fry
  4. chopped onion and fry but not brown.
  5. can tomatoes
  6. chilli and lime
  7. jalepeno relish
  8. corianda
  9. Tumeric
  10. salt to taste
  11. Now coconut cream to a nice consistency
  12. Lastly add cubed fish and simmer for approx 10 minutes or until fish cooked through
  13. serve on rice
