Sweet Spicy Cashew Chicken

- Sauce: shopping list
- 1/2 c ketchup shopping list
- 4 T soya sauce shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. salt shopping list
- 2 T worstershire sauce shopping list
- 3 T sugar shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp. sesame oil shopping list
- 1/4 tsp cayenne shopping list
- 1/2 c chicken broth shopping list
- The Rest: shopping list
- 2 T cornstarch shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. sugar shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 3 whole boneless chicken breasts, skinned & cut into 3/4" pieces shopping list
- 1/4 c oil shopping list
- 2-3 T minced fresh gingeroot shopping list
- 1 T minced garlic shopping list
- 1 sm. onion chopped shopping list
- 2 red bell peppers - cut into 1" triangles shopping list
- 2 carrots, sliced diagonally and thinly shopping list
- 2 c snow peas shopping list
- 1 1/2 c cashews shopping list
How to make it
- Combine sauce ingredients and set aside. In a bowl, combine cornstarch, sugar and salt. Add chicken and toss. Heat wok or frying pan to highest heat. Add oil. Heat to hot, not smoking. Add chicken, ginger, garlic and onion. Stir until chicken is opaque (about 1 minute). Add peppers and carrots. Stir 2-3 minutes. Add peas and sauce. Cook until it comes to a boil. Add cashews and serve immediately.
