Ingredients
  • 2 cans refrigerated cresent dinner rolls
  • 2 cooking apples (figi is good)
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 (12oz) can of Mountain Dew Soft Drink (not diet)

Directions
  1. Peel, core and slice each apple into 8 pieces.
  2. Place an apple slice into each triangle of cresent roll dough.
  3. Roll up from large end to small end.
  4. Place all rolled up slices in a 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
  5. In a small sauce pan melt butter; add sugar and cinnamon
  6. to this mixture..
  7. Pour butter mixture over dumplings; pour mountain due over all.
  8. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees.

These things are amazing. Tracndn posted this exact recipe two months ago and I made them. Recipe sounds goofy, but the result is fantastic. She called hers Mountain Dew Dumplings. I made mine with Parker House roll dough, because I didn't have refrigerated roll dough and I was too far from the grocery. Wonderful.


These are truly decandent ! My sister came to visit & insised on making them (she's a caterer) & they are SO GOOD !!! The addition of Mountain Dew seems odd but ,man oh man, does it ever work !!! And they really need ice cream on top,too... ;o)
