ORANGE POPPY SEED CAKE

- Ingredients: shopping list
- 1 Package ( 18 ¼ -oz ) reduced-fat yellow cake mix shopping list
- 2 Tbs. poppy seeds shopping list
- 1 cup fat-free sour cream shopping list
- ¾ cup egg substitute shopping list
- 1 can ( 6-oz) frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed shopping list
- 1/3 cup water shopping list
- ¼ tsp. almond extract shopping list
- 2 Tbs. sugar shopping list
- ½ tsp. ground cinnamon shopping list
- Glaze: shopping list
- 1 ¾ cups confectioners' sugar shopping list
- 2 Tbs. fat-free milk shopping list
- 1 Tbs. orange juice shopping list
How to make it
- 1)Preheat oven at 350.
- 2)In a large bowl, combine the cake mix and poppy seeds.
- 3)In a small mixing bowl, combine the sour cream, egg substitute, orange juice concentrate, water and almond extract; beat until smooth. Stir into cake mix just until combined. Coat a 10-inch fluted tube pan with non-stick cooking spray. Combine the sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle evenly in pan. Pour batter into pan. A Bundt cake pan was used or you can use any type you prefer.
- 4)Bake at 350 for 40 – 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack. Combine glaze ingredients; drizzle over cooled cake.
