Ingredients
  • 1 small sachet bag
  • 1 hole punch
  • ½ yard leather rope
  • 2 pinches miscellaneous herbs
  • 1 small wooden block or piece of felt
  • Felt tip marker
  • 1 pinch crystal chips or points

Directions
  1. With the hole punch, punch holes into the top of the sachet bag, and thread the rope through the holes.
  2. Decide whether you want to wear the charm around your neck or keep it in a purse or pocket. Tie off the length of the rope to the appropriate length you need.
  3. Put the herbs into the sachet bag. Choose herbs that are good for luck and prosperity. For example, basil changes a person's luck and cinnamon powder attracts good luck and prosperity and also new love. Lavender can be used to bring peace.
  4. Take the wooden block or piece of felt, and write an inspirational message onto it, such as "good luck," "come to me" or "so mote it be." "Mote it be" is used within the Wiccan community to close a spell or ritual; it's basically a replacement for "amen." You can also draw a symbolic picture onto the object to attract good luck. You can draw anything you want so long as it's special to you.
  5. Add the crystal points to the bag, then close it. Give the bag a couple good hard shakes to mix the contents together. As you do this, recite the message you write onto the wooden block or felt.
  6. The good luck charm is now complete and you should state the message whenever you feel your good luck is running low.
  7. The charm can be carried with you at all times. The more time you spend with it, the more likely good luck will come your way, whether it is through magical forces or a boost in your confidence from wearing it.
  8. Look up more herbs and their meanings to customize an herbal blend for your good luck charm

Thank you for the education. Do the charms work for the world of Gardening? I need flowers to bloom, especially sweetpeas.

Ttaaccoo, the charms work if you put enough of yourself and your needs into them. Give it a try.
