I love this dish and really love tythat it takes no time,
It was a great crowd pleaser in my house

You made it? wow cool... care to share further on your experience?

Has anyone tried this or another biryani recipe in the rice cooker? I'd love a fuss-free method to make this wonderful dish.

Hi there Phaqgood... you definitely can use a rice cooker just be monitor carefully the process thats all. I would advice that it might not taste as well though.

Have u missed tomato to add.....

You can prepare any birani recipe in a rice cooker or any other for that matter. I find it is better to fry all ingredients for a short while first. Add rice, mix carefully to coat in spices and oil, then transfer all to rice cooker

Oh this looks good!!!

Love Biryani, made it a number of times and have always been so happy with it. I'll give this a try.

Too bad I just can't have this now as it looks delicious. Your combination of spices is pure magic. Thank you so much for posting the recipe.

How about adding some toasted cashews and almond pieces along with some sultanas? Yummy I reckon!

This sounds delicious...I will definitely be passing this along to family members because I love biryani but they are forever making it with meat so I don't eat it...I will be trying this recipe though! Thanks!

My sister made this for me twice it is really good. Thank you very much for posting the Recipe now I can enjoy this from the comfort of my own home.

Biryani is my fave food ever !!!

The ingredients list calls for cardamom seeds but the directions say cardamom pods. I have both but need to know which to use. This sounds so delicious! Please send me a message.

the recipe says 3 tsps of cardamom pods, this probably a few too many in my opinion, 3 or 4 pods overall i think would do. But perhaps thats what you mean by tsps, i was able to fit about that many in each tsp though. anyways, just a small thing, otherwise, possibly the most 'authetic' indian food i have seen on the net so far. nice work
