Ingredients
  • Last time I was at my sister's house she served me some biscuits she bought already made at Sam's Club and they were pretty good.
  • Here's the Hardee's Biscuits Recipe
  • 4 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 Tbs sugar
  • 1 Tbs baking powder
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 2/3 cup shortening

Directions
  1. Mix together, but do not knead.( I folded mine 3 times very carefully to give a flaky texture. Like a folding roll) You can brush with butter as you fold, but I usually didn't.
  2. Roll out to 1" thick.
  3. Cut and brush tops with buttermilk.
  4. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. (a good thick pan makes the bottom of the biscuits less crusty also let pan cool between cooking if you cook more than one pan).
  5. I have made many Hardees biscuits and these are very close and it matches a recipe I started using in the 70's .
