- 2 thick slices fresh mozzarella shopping list
- 2 thick slices rustic white bread shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- 2 thick slices tomato shopping list
- 6 medium fresh basil leaves shopping list
- 2 teaspoons olive oil shopping list
How to make it
- Place mozzarella on top of 1 bread slice then sprinkle with salt and pepper. Add tomato slices and then the basil leaves. Top with the second bread slice. Brush both sides of the sandwich with the oil. Heat a grill pan over medium low heat. Grill sandwich until bread is golden brown and the cheese melts pressing down with a metal spatula or grill press about 4 minutes per side.
