Slow Cooker Fall Pot Roast Recipe
A slow-cooked hearty meal for those who love comfort food

Ingredients
  • 1 3 lb. boneless Rump roast
  • 1 tblsp. chopped garlic
  • 2 tsps. kosher salt(better taste)
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 1 tsp. dried Thyme leaves
  • 1 pound of baby carrots
  • 1 pound rutabagas cut in chunks
  • 3 stalks celery chopped
  • 1 box frozen pearl onions
  • 6 potatoes cut in quarters
  • 2 12 ounce jars beef gravy
  • 1tbls. cidar vinegar
  • 1 tbls. tomato paste

Directions
  1. Brown roast in olive oil.
  2. Place in crockpot.
  3. In same pan saute celery till softened.
  4. Add to crockpot with garlic,salt,fresh black pepper and thyme.
  5. Add carrots,onions,potatoes.,and rutabagas
  6. Add tomato paste and cidar.
  7. Pour the gravy over all.
  8. Cook on HIGH for 4-6 hours till roast and vegetables are fork tender.
  9. REMOVE THE BAYLEAVES before serving.
  10. Serve with hot rolls and pickled beets on the side.
