How to make it

  • Combine dry ingrrdients except for sugar
  • Cream butter and sugar, vanilla sugar than add eggs one at a time.
  • Blend in the lemon juice and zest
  • Add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture alternately with the yoghurt until everything is well mixed
  • Batter should be thick
  • Spoon batter into paper lined muffin tins almost to the top
  • Bake 400F about 20 to 25 minutes or muffins are lt golden and tested done in center
  • Cool to warm
  • Brush on glaze: mix the sugar and lemon juice together.
  • These are taste best when served warm
  • If room temp, reheat gently in the microwave
  • May be frozen
  • About 12 large , more yield when using smaller muffin tins
