Chocolate Fudgies

- 2 cups (12 oz. pkg.) milk chocolate chips * see note below shopping list
- 1 cup (6 oz. pkg.) semi-sweet chocolate chips shopping list
- 1/4 cup butter shopping list
- 1, 14 oz. can of condensed milk (Not evaporated milk!) shopping list
- 1/4 tsp of salt shopping list
- 2 cups coarsely chopped pecans or 2 cups of chopped walnuts shopping list
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract shopping list
- pecan halves /walnut halves shopping list
- *Note: Using top quality chocolate chips will make a better candy. Taste the chips. If they don't melt well in your mouth and are flavorless and sandy in texture, do not use them in this recipe. shopping list
How to make it
- Melt the chocolate chips, butter, condensed milk and salt in a glass bowl in your microwave on High for 2 minutes.
- Take the bowl out and stir well until the mixture is creamy and well-blended.
- Stir in chopped nuts and vanilla.
- DROP by teaspoonfuls onto wax paper, Non-stick aluminum foil or a silicone mat.
- Top with pecan or walnut halves.
- Chill in your refrigerator until firm or let sit overnight out on your counter if your kitchen temperature is cool.
