Grandmas Salmon Patties Recipe
These are my grandma's salmon patties. We love them and so do my friends and family.

Ingredients
  • 2 cans salmon with or with-out bones (the bones are good for you and you can't really taste them)
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 bell pepper finely chopped
  • 1 sleeve saltine crackers, Ritz or whatever crushed
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Directions
  1. Mix all ingredients and form into patties using about an egg size portion of the mix.
  2. Heat pan with enough oil to cover the bottom of a skillet over medium heat.
  3. When oil is hot drop in patties and cook until browned (we like ours super brown) flipping once.
  4. Takes about 5 minutes.

Good with German style smothered potatoes and green beans. We use lots of ketchup. Kids seem to like these a lot too. Maybe its the ketchup.

I wish I had seen this recipe yesterday. I had 2 cans of salmon that I used to make a salmon stew. We eat it on rice with a LOT of ketchup. Your recipe sounds delicious and easy. Thanks!

I'm going to try these. We need a way to eat salmon, and other patty recipes I've tried are way more complicated than this, so not worth the trouble on a weekly basis. I'll get back to you on it.
