I volunteered in my sons kindergarden class today and we made butter. I couldn't believe how easy it was. Easy enough for 4 year olds. It doesn't make a whole lot but it is fun and tastes just like the stor bought stuff. Read more I think this is an awesome after school activity, to make this butter and pop some popcorn and watch a movie. See less
Ingredients
- 1 cup whipping cream shopping list
How to make it
- Pour whipping cream into a large bowl with a tight fitting lid.
- Shake shake shake
- Cream will get thick like whipped cream,
- you wont be able to hear the swishing as the container is being shaken.
- After a few minutes you will be able to hear the swishing again of the liquid.
- Pour out liquid.
- Shake again for about 2 minutes and voila butter!

I love this. It is fun isn't it. I add a touch of honey to make it sweeter. That is great for breakfast toast!! Thank you for great time with your sons class...LOL!

unique way for kiddos to learn to make butter-can put it in larg plastic Bag and let them shake-shake- shake- that butter when done pour out excess milk and shape butter{no mess}
