How to make it

  • Combine the melted butter and cake mix. (Let the butter cool a bit before adding to mix)
  • The mix will be crumbly.
  • Set aside.
  • Reserve 1 1/2 cups of mixture for the topping.
  • Pat the remaining crumb mixture into the bottom of an ungreased 9" X 13" pan.
  • Combine marshmallow cream and peanut butter, spread evenly over the crumb mixture in the pan.
  • Crumble the reserved cake mixture over top of peanut butter / marshmallow mixture.
  • Bake 20 minutes at 350F.
  • Cool and cut into bars.
  • Be careful to not overbake as bar will become to hard to bite through.

Sounds so good and it's so easy! Just wondering if you have ever tried this recipe using Nutella?

My goodness! What an interesting mix of ingredients! I would have never believed that the marshmallow cream could have substituted for the eggs and other ingredients that might have gone in a typical cookie recipe.

I have one box of German Chocolate Cake mix and there are 3 recipes that I want to make with it now!! I was going to make German Choclate cookies with it but you make this one really tempting.

    I will make it though!
