How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350. Make and cool cake as directed on box for rectangular pan. Poke cake with handle of wooden spoon in several places. In medium bowl beat pudding mix and milk with wire whisk for about 2 minutes. Pour pudding evenly over cake. Run knife around sides of pan to loosen cake. Refrigerate 2 hours. Store loosely covered in refrigerator.

    I made this for a Christmas party at work. It was easy but I think it could use a bit of dressing up. I made 10 holes in it and didn't get much pudding sinking in. I think some raspberries on it would be wonderful. Added a picture. 12/22/12 More in IMI

    I made the cake last night, but i used a german chocolate cake mix instead of fugdge. It came out just wonderful. I think i will make more wholes in it next time for the pudding to sink into it.

    Oops that was supposed to say milk and that is to go into the pudding. The original recipe calls for milk but I substitute milk for water. Sorry about that typo.
