- 1/2 cup thousand island dressing shopping list
- 8 slices pumpernickel, dark rye or marbled bread shopping list
- 12 ounces thinly sliced cooked turkey shopping list
- 4 slices baby swiss cheese shopping list
- 1 cup sauerkraut, well-drained shopping list
- Sliced pickles shopping list
How to make it
- Spread salad dressing on one side of each bread slice
- With salad dressing side up, top 4 of the slices with turkey, cheese and sauerkraut
- Top with remaining bread slices, dressing side down
- Preheat a 12 inch skillet over medium heat
- Place sandwiches in skillet, reduce heat to medium-low and cook for 4-6 minutes until cheese is melted and bread is toasted, turning once
- Serve with pickles
- If you like, spread the bread with softened butter before cooking
