TARRAGON SHORTBREAD

- 1/2 cup butter-no substitutes shopping list
- 1/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 3/4 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 3/4 cup+1 tbsp flour shopping list
- 3/4 tsp tarragon shopping list
How to make it
- In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
- Add vanilla
- Blend until well combined
- Add salt, flour and tarragon.
- Stir until well blended.
- The dough should start to pull away from the sides of the bowl.
- Grease an 8x8 cake pan.
- Transfer the dough to the pan, spreading evenly
- With your fingers press it into a firm layer.
- Bake at 325F for 25-28 minutes.
- Leave shortbread in pan to cool completely..
- Prick the shortbread with a fork to mark out 1-inch squares.
- Prick right through the dough
- When cool use a sharp knoife to cut through the lines made by the fork.

This would be amazing with a light salad, maybe warm chevre & a vinagrette with a tad of honey in it, on baby mesculin greens & a glass of rose. Yum
