How to make it

  • Heat pineapple with juice until hot; dissolve jello in this mixture.
  • Let cool.
  • Add buttermilk and cool whip to this mixture.
  • Mix throughly.
  • Cool in refrigerator until set.

    I made this last week, and it was excellent! I've never been one for jello salads, but this sounded so intriguing with the buttermilk that I had to try it. I only added half the Cool Whip; I tried it without the pecans, but we missed them, so next time I'll add them.
