Death By Caramel Bars

- 3 cups firmly packed light brown sugar shopping list
- 2 cups butter-melted shopping list
- 3 large eggs-lightly beaten shopping list
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract shopping list
- 4 cups all purpose flour shopping list
- 1 cup uncooked rolled oats shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 3/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 6 2.07oz peanut candy bars(such as Snickers)-chopped shopping list
- 1 14oz can dulce de leche shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- Combine first 4 ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Stir well.
- Combine flour, oats, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add to butter mixture, stirring until just blended.
- Fold in candy bars.
- Spoon batter into a greased 9" x 13" pan lined with foil. Coat foil with cooking spray. Pan will be full.
- Spoon dollops of dulce de leche over batter. Swirl slightly into batter with a knife.
- Bake for 1 hour and 5 minutes.
- Cool brownies completely in pan. This may take several hours.
- Lift foil out of pan. Peel away sides and cut brownies into 24 squares.
- Note:
- Dulce de leche is basically caramel. It can be found on the international aisle in most supermarkets.

Just 1 question, what exactly is dulce de leche? I have never heard of it!tucky in Ottawa loved it -
What is not to love here? Butter, brown sugar, snickers..these look divine! I thank you for sharing, my waistline does not :-)

I admit I had to google the "can dulce de leche" but found it was condensed milk or sort of like that - hence the 5 Forks from me. Will give this a try for my neices and nephews.
