Ingredients

How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  • Combine first 4 ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Stir well.
  • Combine flour, oats, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add to butter mixture, stirring until just blended.
  • Fold in candy bars.
  • Spoon batter into a greased 9" x 13" pan lined with foil. Coat foil with cooking spray. Pan will be full.
  • Spoon dollops of dulce de leche over batter. Swirl slightly into batter with a knife.
  • Bake for 1 hour and 5 minutes.
  • Cool brownies completely in pan. This may take several hours.
  • Lift foil out of pan. Peel away sides and cut brownies into 24 squares.
  • Note:
  • Dulce de leche is basically caramel. It can be found on the international aisle in most supermarkets.

I admit I had to google the "can dulce de leche" but found it was condensed milk or sort of like that - hence the 5 Forks from me. Will give this a try for my neices and nephews.
    thanks - nigel
