KIELBASA SKILLET STEW

- Ingredients: shopping list
- 5 bacon strips shopping list
- 1 to 1 ½ pounds of smoked kielbasa or Polish sausage, thinly sliced shopping list
- 1 medium onion, chopped shopping list
- 2 cans ( 15 ½ -oz each ) great northern beans, un-drained shopping list
- 2 cans ( 8-oz each ) tomato sauce shopping list
- 1 can ( 4-oz ) chopped green chilies shopping list
- 2 medium carrots, thinly sliced shopping list
- ½ medium green pepper, chopped shopping list
- ½ tsp. italian seasoning shopping list
- ½ tsp. Dried thyme shopping list
- 1/8 tsp. pepper shopping list
How to make it
- In a 12-inch skillet, cook bacon until crisp; remove to paper towel to drain. Cook sausage and onions in drippings over medium heat until onion is tender; drain.
- Stir in remaining ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 45 minutes or until vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally. Crumble bacon; sprinkle over stew.
- Serving size: 1 cup
