- Ingredients: shopping list
- 4 to 5 pounds pork spareribs shopping list
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped shopping list
- ½ cup finely chopped celery shopping list
- 2 Tbs. butter shopping list
- 1 cup ketchup shopping list
- 1 cup water shopping list
- 1/3 cup lemon jucie shopping list
- 2 Tbs. vinegar shopping list
- 2 Tbs. brown sugar shopping list
- 1 Tbs. worcestershire sauce shopping list
- ½ tsp. ground mustard shopping list
- 1/8 tsp. pepper shopping list
- 1/8 tsp. chili powder shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven at 350.
- Cut ribs into serving-size pieces; place on a rack in a shallow roasting pan. Bake, un-covered, at 350 for 1 hour.
- Meanwhile in a medium saucepan, saute onion and celery in butter for 4-5 minutes or until tender. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Bring to a boil reduce heat. Cook and stir until slightly thickened, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Drain fat from roasting pan. Pour sauce over ribs. Bake 1 ½ hours longer or until meat is tender. Yield: 6-8 servings.

Ed, love the ingredients in this recipe. How can anyone say, "No" to spare ribs! Thanks. It's a welcome change from turkey and ham.
