Christmas Frosted Cashew Cookies

These sound so yummy!! and just right for Christmas!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter shopping list
- 1 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder shopping list
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/3 cup sour cream shopping list
- 1 cup cashew nuts, chopped shopping list
- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ shopping list
- Frosting: shopping list
- 1/2 cup butter shopping list
- 3 tablespoons cream shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- 2 cups powdered sugar, sifted shopping list
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees. shopping list
How to make it
- For dough, cream butter and brown sugar; beat in egg and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients and add alternately with sour cream. Fold in chopped cashews. Drop onto baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes. Let cool.
- For frosting, lightly brown butter, then remove from heat. Stir in cream, vanilla and powdered sugar. Beat until smooth; spread on cooled cookies.
- Makes 5 dozen.
