Baked Brie With Mushrooms And Almonds Recipe

Ingredients

How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350
  • Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat
  • Mix in garlic and almonds, heating until almonds are lightly browned
  • Stir in mushrooms and cook until tender, about 5 minutes
  • Cover with brandy and sprinkle with tarragon
  • Place Brie in a small baking dish
  • Pour the mushroom and brandy mixture over the Brie
  • Bake in the preheated oven 20 minutes, or until bubbly
  • This is nice served with baguette slice

    I know that's usually a problem with baked brie recipes, sorry that happened, but it sounds like you have a good remedy for it. Glad you enjoyed it.

    I served this as an entrée for my mom's b-day Saturday. It went over VERY well indeed. My only complaint is that so much of the cheese oozed out before the pastry itself was cooked so next time (and there will be a next time, I promise) I will freeze the cheese and mushrooms for an hour before wrapping it in the pastry and baking it. Hopefully that will extend the baking time to a nicer, more golden colour. Great recipe!
