Eds Turkey Burgers

- Ingredients: shopping list
- 1 pound of lean ground turkey shopping list
- 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs shopping list
- ½ tsp. chili powder shopping list
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper shopping list
- ½ tsp. thyme shopping list
- ½ tsp. garlic powder shopping list
- 3 Tbs. margarine shopping list
- 1 large egg shopping list
- ¼ cup 1% milk shopping list
- ½ cup seasoned breadcrumbs shopping list
- 6 Whole Wheat sandwich rolls, split shopping list
- 6 lettuce leaves shopping list
- 6 thin tomato slices shopping list
- Sliced red onions, optional shopping list
- mustard and ketchup if desired shopping list
How to make it
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the first seven ingredients. Mix together well. Form six equal portions, flatten into patties. In medium bowl, combine egg and milk; mix well. In another bowl put the breadcrumbs. Alternate dunking into the egg mixture first then into the breadcrumbs to coat.
- On a broiling pan coated with non-stick cooking spray place the 6 patties, broil for 5-7 minutes on each side or until a meat thermometer reads 165 . Serve on buns with the lettuce and tomato.
- Optional red onion slices
- Mustard and Ketchup if desired.
- Also you can add cheese on top to melt 1- 2 minutes on broiler.
