Spicy Shrimp with Wasabi Cocktail Sauce

- 24 large shrimp (16/20 count, shells on) shopping list
- 4 tablespoons Old Bay Seasoning shopping list
- 4 tablespoons cajun seasoning shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups beer shopping list
- wasabi SAUCE shopping list
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon wasabi paste, or to taste shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon lemon juice shopping list
- 1/2 cup ketchup shopping list
How to make it
- Toss shrimp with seasonings and refrigerate for 1 hour
- Bring the beer to a boil and add shrimp
- Boil until firm and pink, about three minutes
- Drain
- Mix sauce ingredients
- Serve with shrimp
- Can be served hot or cold

The wasabi sauce sounds interesting. I think it needs to be tried on some really fresh, crunchy shrimp. The Gulf is only 45 minutes away; let me get my coat, it's time to stock up on shrimp. Yum.

Good recipe, we boil shrimp a lot in Shock Top brand beer. I have also found I like the wasabi better than horseradish. I will have to try adding the brown sugar to the cocktail sauce. \0
