Steak Tips With Peppered Mushroom Gravy

- 2 c uncooked egg noodles shopping list
- cooking spray shopping list
- 1 lb. top sirloin steak,cut in 3/4" pieces shopping list
- 1 Tbs butter shopping list
- 2 Tbs fine chopped shallots shopping list
- 1 (8oz) pkg pre-sliced baby bella mushrooms shopping list
- 1 tsp minced garlic shopping list
- 1 Tbs low-sodium soy sauce shopping list
- 3 Tbs flour shopping list
- 1-1/2 c less-sodium beef broth shopping list
- 1/2 tsp black pepper shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 3 fresh thyme sprigs shopping list
- 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves (optional) shopping list
How to make it
- Cook noodles,according to pkg. directions,omitting salt and fat;drain
- While noodles cook,heat large nonstick skillet over med-high heat. Coat pan with cooking spray. Add steak,saute 5 mins.,browning on all sides. Remove from pan;cover
- Melt butter in pan over med-high heat. Add shallots and mushrooms,saute 4 mins. Add garlic;saute 30 seconds. Stir in soy sauce.
- Sprinkle flour over mushroom mixture;cook 1 min,stirring constantly. Gradually add broth,stirring constantly . Add pepper,salt and thyme sprigs. Bring to a boil;cook 2 mins or till thickened.
- Return beef to pan;cook 1 min. or till thoroughly heated. Discard thyme sprigs. Garnish with thyme leaves,if desired.
