Ingredients
  • The Cake:
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 Pkg Yellow cake mix (duncan hines butter recipe)
  • 1 pkg orange gelatin
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • The Filling:
  • 6 oz frozen coconut
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • The Frosting:
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Directions
  1. Cake:
  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  3. Combine cake mix, gelatin, milk, butter, and eggs in mixing bowl; mix well.
  4. Pour into three greased and floured 9 inch round cake pans.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes or until cake tests done.
  6. Cool for 10 minutes (wire racks)
  7. Filling:
  8. Combine sour cream, sugar, orange juice, and coconut in mixing bowl.
  9. Set aside one cup of mixture.
  10. Spread remaining mixture between cake layers.
  11. Frosting:
  12. Beat cream until stiff peaks form;add vanilla and sugar.
  13. Fold in remainer of filling. Spread on cake.
  14. Garnish with coconut.
