How to make it

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees for at least 20 minutes.
  • Beat egg whites, salt, and vanilla extract until soft (not stiff) peaks form.
  • Add sugar-1tbs at a time--continue beating until very stiff peaks have formed.
  • Add walnuts and chocolate chips.
  • Drop teaspoonfuls of mixture on a large ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Turn off the oven.
  • Place the cookie sheet in the oven and leave overnight. Do not open oven until the next morning.
