Ingredients

How to make it

  • Combine, ale, onion, garlic, caraway seed & water in a large saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil over high heat.
  • Reduce heat and place whole sausages in saucepan.
  • Simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  • After simmering, sausages may be grilled for several minutes for nice flavor.
  • Serve with German-style mustard & sauerkraut, if desired

    I agree with Krumkake! I've used beer and onions, but never garlic or caraway seeds. I saved this one.

    hmmm - I always simmer my sausages in beer before we grill them, but I've never tried adding other ingredients to the beer...this sounds very good indeed, and we will definitely try this next time we grill sausages - yummy!
