Hamburger Mac and Cheese

I have the worst time with baked macaroni and cheese recipes. They all turn out dry and clumpy. This is the creamiest , not baked, but prepared on the stovetop.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground round shopping list
- 1 (1pound) package elbow macaroni shopping list
- 3/4 pound Velveeta cheese, cubed shopping list
- 2 cups milk 1/2 cup sour cream shopping list
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Cook macaroni per package directions, drain and set aside
- Brown ground beef and drain off fat
- Put macaroni in a large pot and mix in hamburger
- Add all other ingredients, mix gently, and simmer over low heat until cheese is completely melted
