Grilled asparagus wrapped in proscutto

- 40-45 spears, trimmed asparagus spears shopping list
- 1 tablespoon olive oil shopping list
- oil to coat the grill. shopping list
- 4 ounces, about 8 slices, thinly sliced prosciutto shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper shopping list
- 1 tablespoon fresh grated parmesan cheese shopping list
- honey mustard OR ranch dressing for drizzle shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat the grill to medium with the grate at the lowest setting.
- On a rimmed baking sheet, or in a large plastic bag, toss the asparagus with the olive oil.
- Lightly coat the the grate with oil.
- Arrange the asparagus on the grill perpendicular to the bars of the grate.
- Grill until just tender but not limp, about 5 minutes.
- Use tonges to roll the asparagus once or twice during cooking.
- Lay a slice of prosciutto horizontally on a work surface.
- Place 4 to 6 spears over ther prosciutto near the short edge.
- Sprinkle the asparagus with some pepper.
- Tightly roll the proscuitto over the asparagus on a slight diagonal, creating a tight bundle.
- The sips of the asparagus should still be showing.
- Sprinkle the bundled with parmesean.
