How to make it

  • Dissolve yeast in water.
  • Stir in: milk, sugar, salt, eggs, shortening, and half of flour.
  • Mix until smooth.
  • Add the rest of the flour an mix by hand.
  • Knead on lightly board until smooth and blistered(5 mins).
  • Place in greased bowl and cover.
  • Let rise 1 1/2 - 2 hours or until doubled in bulk.
  • Punch down and let rise again for 45 minutes.
  • Divide into 12 - 14 balls 2" in diameter(2/3 dough).
  • Place in well greased muffin cups.
  • Form the rest of the dough into small balls, set firmly on th large ones.
  • Let rise 30 minutes.
  • Brush with glaze and bake for 20 - 25 minutes at 350 degrees.
