Chile de Arbol Hot Sauce

- 10 tomatillos, husked and rinsed shopping list
- 15-25 Chile de Arbol dried peppers, stems removed shopping list
- 1 onion, sliced shopping list
- 4 cloves chopped garlic shopping list
- 2 tablespoons salt, or to taste shopping list
How to make it
- 1.Place the tomatillos, chile de arbol peppers, in a saucepan, and add water to just cover. Sprinkle the salt over the top, bring to a boil, reduce the heat to medium-low, and cook until the tomatillos are soft and have turned slightly brownish in color, 20 to 30 minutes. Add more water if needed to keep the mixture from burning as it cooks.
- 2.Pour the cooked ingredients into a blender add onion and garlic , and blend until smooth; this will take several minutes. Place in dish and enjoy with tacos or anything that may need some heat!
- Variations: Add 1/2 bunch cilantro, squirt of lime and a pinch of cumin.

This will do quite nicely. I do one very much like this but with a touch of cilantro and cumin. Few up north know about cooked hot sauce so this will be an eye opener to many. A great 5 post.
