Ingredients

How to make it

  • In a saute pan over medium heat add oil and butter or margarine, heat and add onions and salt.
  • Cook the onions until they are caramelized, about 20 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
  • Mix the rest of the ingredients, and then add the cooled onions. Refrigerate and stir again before serving.

    OH Gosh...to me, this is almost as easy as the opening a packet...takes me about 2 minutes to chop onions, if that...and let them cook while I fix whatever else I'm cooking, or do a few dishes or whatever, then stir it all up...it really IS so worth it!

    This sounds dangerously good! If only it was "empty a packet into a container of sour cream" easy. Oh well, I bet this is worth it.
