How to make it

  • Brown chicken in a skillet over med.-high heat, working in batches.
  • Place browned chicken in a 4-6 qt. crock-pot.
  • Scatter the garlic cloves over the top.
  • Pour in stock, oil, and water. Season with black pepper and add the sprigs of thyme whole.
  • Set the crock pot to Hi for 1 hour.
  • Reduce heat to low and continue to cook for 3 to 4 more hours.
