How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.In a food processor,combine cheese,bacon and onion.Process till a smooth paste forms and transfer to bowl.
  • Arrange cocktail bread slices on 2 rimmed baking sheets. Bake till crisp but not browned. Remove from oven,cool completely.
  • Heat broiler. Top each toast with 2 Tbs cheese mixture. Broil till topping is lightly browned.,about 4 mins.

    This is very similar to my Rye Snacks recipe on here. http://www.grouprecipes.com/44945/rye-snacks.html Would be a nice little change for one of the loaves of cocktail rye I have in the freezer now. I bought 3 last time I saw at the store since often they don't have them when I need them. Thanks for sharing. Peg.
