- 250 G RINDLESS streaky bacon, DICED (OPTIONAL) shopping list
- 2 LARGE tomatoes, SKINNED AND CHOPPED shopping list
- 5ML onion flakes, HYDRATED IN water 15 MINUTES, DRAINED shopping list
- 2 ML CHILLI POWDER OR EVEN curry powder shopping list
- 30 ML brown sugar shopping list
- FRESHLY GROUND FLACK pepper shopping list
- (INSTED OF CHOPPING onions AND garlic US DRIED FLAKES - SOAK IN water TO HYDRATE, DRAIN WELL, IT IS GREAT IN SOUPS, STEWS, SAUCES AND EVEN SALADS) shopping list
How to make it
- STEAM BUTTERNUT HALVES UNTIL TENDER, 25-30 MINUTES
- FRY BACON (IF USED) IN HOT, DRY PAN UNTIL CRISPY, REMOVE WITH SLOTTED SPOON, DRAIN ON ABSORBENT KITCHEN PAPER TOWELS
- ADD REMAINING INGREDIENTS TO SAM PAN, SIMMER UNTIL SAUCE HAS REDUCED SLIGHTLY
- SPOON MISTURE INTO HOT BUTTERNUT HALVES
- TOP WITH BACON (IF USED)
- SERVE HOT
