How to make it

  • Mix all the sauce ingredients in a blender until smooth
  • put meat in a shallow dish, rub sauce into meat and leave covered for 1 hour
  • pout 20ml oil into a pressure cooker and heat.
  • slow cook onions until soft
  • add marinated meat to the onions, pour remaining sauce into the pot as well.
  • add salt according to preference
  • cook over low heat for one hour, occassionally adding warm water to keep your pot moist.
  • add tomato puree (remember to add sugar if puree is bitter), turn up heat and allow to simmer for 10 minutes
  • mash garlic, stir into mixture and cook for 5 minutes
  • serve on Jamine rice
