Lasagna in a Bun

- 6 French style rolls shopping list
- 1/2 lb lean ground beef shopping list
- 1/2 c finely chopped onion shopping list
- 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 8 oz can tomato sauce shopping list
- 1 egg white shopping list
- 3/4 c shredded mozzarealla cheese, divided shopping list
- 1/3 c ricotta cheese shopping list
- 3 Tbsp grated parmesan cheese shopping list
- 1/2 tsp dried Italian seasoning shopping list
How to make it
- Cut a thin slice from top of each roll. Hollow rolls leaving 1/2 in thick shell and set aside. (reserve crumbs for another use)
- Brown ground beef, stirring until crumbled. Drain and pat dry. Wipe drippings from skillet and return beef to skillet.
- Add onions and next 3 ingredients, cover and cook over low heat 5 minutes. Uncover and cook 5 minutes more, stirring often.
- Combine egg white, half of mozzarella, ricotta, parmesan and italian seasoning.
- Spoon 1/4 c meat mixture into each roll, top with 2 Tbsp cheese mixture and sprinkle evenly with remaining mozzarella. Replace roll tops.
- Place in a large baking dish, cover and bake at 400 for 20 to 25 minutes until thoroughly heated.
